A Sure Hint

This is a very sure hint to Cheep’s gift for me. It surely is a pair of shoes.

Last December 24, we spent the simplest and the loneliest Christmas ever. Why? Everything about Christmas in our little town is changed. I blame the church people for it. It was not Christmas-like last December 24 even with the presence of the foodies on our table. I was just glad I received a few gifts from my online sponsors and from my family before and after the 24th. The earliest I received is a pair of wedge sandals from Cheep. I already had an idea it was a pair of shoes when I first saw the gift. I wasn’t mistaken. The picture of the sandals will be posted in my other site, the Whims and Craze.

One Of The Gifts I Received

This is one of the gifts I received on Christmas. It was a Christmas/Birthday gift for me from Cheep. Can you guess what it is?

At nine in the evening on December 24 is when we had the gifts opened. Cheem didn’t arrive at that time yet thinking the opening of the gifts will be at 12 midnight, which is what we are used too. So only half of the gifts were opened then. Since the church changed everything about Christmas in our town, the Christmas celebration started at 9:00 p.m. after the mass. A few blast of fireworks were heard that lasted only an hour. At 12 midnight, when arrived, the world already fell into silence. We didn’t feel the true joy of Christmas.

Anyway, I opened the gift from Cheep and guess what’s inside? It was a pair of wedge sandals. I like it!

How Did I Spend My 26th Birthday?

I turned 26 years old yesterday, December 22, 2012. Nothing grand happened on that day. There was no lavish celebration. No night-out party too. I stayed home and slept all day with my puppes. It was the loneliest and the most boring day. I was penniless and there was a brown out. What else would I do?  I rewarded myself my much-needed sleep.  If I was not waken up for dinner, I would sleep until sunrise the next day. I guess those hours of sleep were enough birthday gift for myself. It is what I needed most anyway, sleep.

Anyway, my mother surprised me with a few dishes for dinner. It’s sweet of her to bother prepare something for her eldest daughter’s birthday. I was barely awake when I got up. I didn’t want mother to start nagging about my eating (which I only do once a day as long as I have a stock of coffee and soda – yes unhealthy) so I forced myself to get up only to be surprised when mama and kids started singing a birthday song for me. I was touched. I was glad everyone remembered my birthday except that one person who I wanted so much to greet me, which he didn’t do.

The four bowls of dishes washed that thought away. There was stir-fry Chinese Noodles, a couple of fish dishes and a chicken adobo with coconut milk. Oh my the latter tasted like heaven! I got hungry right in one taste. I ended up three plates of rice with those viands, making up with the breakfast and lunch I skipped.

I rewarded myself a few sticks of cigarettes after eating since it was my birthday. I stayed up a couple of hours, checked my Facebook account and thanked those who greeted me on my wall. Then I went back to sleep. I got up around 1:00 in the morning and started blogging…that’s just how I let my birthday passed.

Bond With Candy

Candy and I have been bonding a lot lately. Who is Candy by the way? Candy is one of Chizka’s puppies.

366 Blog Photo Challenge

By her sweet name Candy, you can tell she’s a female pup. During the first two days spending time with the puppies, I have set my eyes on Candy. She is the biggest among the pups but the most behaved. She is just relaxed. She doesn’t cry too much unlike the other pups. She just stays silently sleeping in one corner. As you can see in the picture above, she is looking so contented and comfortable sleeping on my lap. She reminds of my first dog Sarah, a Labrador-Retriever who liked sleeping on my lap and when cuddled. I hope though Candy will grow behaved and not spastic like Sarah.

As much as I wanted to keep Candy, I couldn’t. My mother has also set eyes on her and wanted her as pet. So before we part ways, I have bonded with her lately. I let her sleep on my lap while I am in front the computer and Chzika can only watch everytime. I also let her sleep on the couch with me. For the last few days, I fall asleep with her sleeping on my belly. I instructed Rina to just transfer the dog to their bed when I totally fall asleep afraid I might crush the puppy.

I Want to Start A Pet Blog

I have been thinking a lot about creating a pet blog lately. Chizka and her puppies inspired me to create one. I want to start a blog that only talks about pets, mainly dogs and that focuses the life of my baby Chiz and her cute pups.  It would be nice to have a page in the web that only talks about them and my future pets. I have this feeling that  there’ll be more pet dogs to come in my life. I planned on getting a new Labrador as Sarah’s replacement. If you still remember, Sarah was my first dog. It was in her that I truly realized how loyal and lovable dogs are if you’ll only take good care of them. It was in her that started loving dogs . Also, I planned on getting a pure Pom too and a Shih Tzu. It will be very expensive but I hope to find a good deal. I just love dogs so much!

Two Days With Insomnia

I slept all day today. It was good for I needed those long hours of sleep. My eyes and body claimed those two days of sleeplessness and stress. I was up for two days, yes that was 48 hours, due to insomnia. Being up for 48 hours is my worst so far when having insomnia. If you are like me who suffers such sleep condition, you truly can relate how hard it is to catch even a nap when insomnia attack. You cannot sleep the whole night so when morning comes, you’ll feel weak and tired and your eyes feel heavy or sleepy. The bad thing though, even how hard you’ll try to close your eyes to catch some sleep, your mind gets too active making the much-needed sleep so elusive.

So during those days, I just stayed in front the computers to either blog or watch dramas online and then when tired with the computer, I alternately played Xbox.  I was like blogging since 6 in the morning until midnight then watch some episodes of Korean dramas from midnight until two or in the morning. That was all sitting and typing and looking at the screen I did. I only stood up to get myself a glass of coffee or to go to the bathroom to pee.

Then at around three early in the morning when tired when all the computer/online work, I sit on the couch and faced the challenges in Baldur’s Gate in my Xbox game Dark Alliance II. When totally exhausted, I only lied down to rest my eyes and body…though the mind wasn’t. So these are all the things I did in two of insomnia.
