Yay, I forgot to post my share for Girls Talk last Thursday. My bad! With the hope not to miss this month’s GT, I’m running fast to catch the linky. Good thing the linky is still up although it’s already Saturday. So here goes the weird word.
Eyeburger. It is the brownish thing you can touch or see (when in front the mirror) at the corners of your eyes. Much of it are usually present when you wake up in the morning. This is not a real word but I may say, it is a cute name for “muta”.
I learned this from my husband. He told me I had eyeburgers once we were in a restaurant but I didn’t understand the meaning until he explained. I don’t know if you also have encountered this word but since then, this word was used as a code or warning. Hubby knows I’m super conscious with how I look whenever we mingle with our friends. So when out partying, instead of going to the ladies room to check whether I have eyeburgers or not, I would just look hubby into the eyes and ask “eyeburger?” which is short for “honey, do I have an eyeburger?”. If he replies left or right, simply it means yes on my left or right eye and if he says burgers, it means both eyes. I find it funny. I wonder if other Fil-For couples do that too.
